The information for the study group is as follows:
NASHRM will again be hosting a study group for all of those who are interested in obtaining their PHR or SPHR certification. The next testing window is from May 1, 2010 - June 30, 2010.
The study group is scheduled to begin Thursday, February 18th at 5:30 p:m. The group will meet weekly on Thursday and will conclude on April 15th. The meetings will take place at HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, 601 Genome Way, in Huntsville near Adtran in CRP. We will again be using the material from HR Review. The total cost of the material will be $560.00 for NASHRM Members and $660 for non-NASHRM members.
If materials are not needed, the cost is $60 to cover the cost of meals (use promo code meal-only when registering). Registration deadline is February 12, 2010.

To qualify for the PHR and SPHR certifications, you must pass a comprehensive, 250-question examination and have two years exempt level human resource management experience. Although minimum requirements to take the exam have been reduced to two years experience for both exams, it is strongly recommended that you have the following minimum credentials to be best prepared: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) candidates should have: a minimum of four years exempt human resource management experience.
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) candidates should have: a minimum of eight years of exempt human resource management experience.
Michael Bean will coordinate the NASHRM Certification Review, which is designed to assist HR professionals in preparing for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification exams. Certification exams are conducted by SHRM’s Human Resource Institute (HRCI) during two testing windows, May 1 through June 30, and December 1 through January 31.
The exam covers the functional areas of the Human Resource Management Body of Knowledge.
