CERTIFICATION
As announced at the January SHRM Meeting, there will be a study group for all of those interested who are sitting for PHR/SPHR exams in the Spring testing window. The Spring testing window is from May 1 - June 30.
Beginning February 28th, the study group will meet each Thursday evening at 5:30 pm at SAIC. There will be a total of 8 meetings. The study material that will be used is HR Review. The total cost of the material is $540.00.

To qualify for the PHR and SPHR certifications, you must pass a comprehensive, 250-question examination and have two years exempt level human resource management experience. Although minimum requirements to take the exam have been reduced to two years experience for both exams, it is strongly recommended that you have the following minimum credentials to be best prepared: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) candidates should have: a minimum of four years exempt human resource management experience.
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) candidates should have: a minimum of eight years of exempt human resource management experience.
Rusty Brand will coordinate the NASHRM Certification Review, which is designed to assist HR professionals in preparing for the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification exams. Certification exams are conducted by SHRM’s Human Resource Institute (HRCI) during two testing windows, May 1 through June 30, and December 1 through January 31.
The exam covers the functional areas of the Human Resource Management Body of Knowledge.
